- Abstract
Objective: To stablish the prevalence of Salmonella spp. (non-typhoid) in Nariño, Colombia, in surfaces in contact with meat, products, and derivative in small stores, vehicles and handlers. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional study thread laboratories collection and analysis. Results: The inert and living surfaces in contact present a moderate prevalence of Salmonella spp., specially, in Pupiales and Puerres municipalities. Conclusions: In spite of epidemiological surveillance and that small store have health permission, they default on health measures and there is an appreciable presence of Salmonella spp.
