Industry launches BVD control campaign.
- Abstract
The article reports on the launch of the industry-led campaign to control and eradicate bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) in Great Britain. The British Cattle Veterinary Association and representatives of the cattle industry have agreed to establish two working groups to develop a strategy for BVD and a communications plan. Jeo Bownlie, professor at the Royal Veterinary College, stated that BVD is serious disease causing significant financial losses for many farmers.
