- Title
Doped fibres: Rare-earth fibres power up.
- Authors

- Abstract
In this article, the authors discuss the development of fiber lasers on power scaling. The authors state that adopting large-mode-area (LMA) fibres as substitute to numerical aperture (NA) is one of the factors that make power scaling productive. They suggest that in the growing technology, power scaling must be realized without using fibre lasers. Various architectures used for power scaling are also presented such as the fibre Bragg grating (FBG).
