- Abstract
The Washington D.C.-based Howard University College of Medicine joins with Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois to host a 2-day symposium that will update advances made in understanding the psychophysiology and effects on human performance of nicotine and smoking. This meeting will be a satellite event to the U.S. Society for Neuroscience's 26th Annual Scientific Meeting in Washington D.C. on November 22-23, 1996. Interactive sessions will be devoted to higher-order cognitive, affective, and biobehavioral functions. Situation, dose, and psychopathology-related differences in nicotine effects, sensitivity, and abstinence response will be emphasized.
