- Abstract
The article presents information on the labour productivity in Great Britain since the onset of the recent financial crisis. It is stated that before the crisis, Great Britain had seen the fastest average rate of labor productivity growth, but this performance has worsened since the crisis started and average rates of productivity have been very slow. On the other hand, in the U.S. and Spain, labor productivity has grown since the onset of the crisis as companies have resorted to layoffs.
