- Abstract
The article focuses on the roles of labor market institutions in an economy. It explores the influence of the key institutional features of the labor market on aggregate fluctuations in real quantities like unemployment and inflation. It also assesses the market's quantitative implications through the examination of the effects of unemployment benefits and firing costs. It discusses the dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model, which was used as an approach to assess macroeconomics.
