- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 44-year-old man received invasive mechanical ventilation for acute respiratory distress syndrome in the medical ICU in volume-control mode. After informed consent, he was included in an observational study on incidence of "Dyssynchronies" On Day 4 after ICU admission, while the patient was continuously sedated and Richmond Agiwe observed reverse triggering and also a periodic contraction of the pectoralis major induced by the ventilator.
