- Title
Typological Rhyme in a Sequence by Adam of St. Victor.
- Authors
Cunnar, Eugene R.
- Abstract
The article critiques 12th century poet Adam of Saint Victor's experimentation with figures of repetition at line endings in order to achieve rhyme effects in his liturgical poetry. It addresses the theological and liturgical context of the sequence, the significance of Adam's typological rhyme, and the use of typology to provide a metaphor for liturgical and sacramental time. Poems include "De Musica," "Allelulia," and "De Resurrectione Domini."
