Case Analysis 1.
- Authors
Gupta, Ambuj; Gautam, Aditya
- Abstract
The article responds to a management case titled "Chilli in Soup (A)," by Tathagata Bandopadhyay and G. Raghuram. The authors claim that the Spices Board of India (SBI) must consider mandatory testing in exports to ensure the quality of spice manufacturing firms' products. They also suggest a three-tier structure for SBI to check adulteration or unfair trade practices. Moreover, it cites the need to check the prohibitive use of Sudan 1, a banned carcinogenic dye, in Indian spices exports.
