Correction to: Are Nonprobability Surveys Fit for Purpose?
- Abstract
This document is a correction to an article titled "Are Nonprobability Surveys Fit for Purpose?" The correction addresses an error in the original manuscript, where the Census Household Pulse Survey (HPS) was mistakenly described as "opt-in." The correction clarifies that the HPS actually uses the Census Bureau's Master Address File (MAF) to select a large probability-based sample. The Census Bureau then added email and mobile telephone numbers to the sampled households and conducted the survey through email and/or text.
