- Abstract
This article is focused on the evaluation of cardiac autonomic reactivity of patients with coronary artery disease after coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) and before cardiac rehabilitation. The group under study involved 30 patients after coronary artery disease after CABG (mean age 63.1 ± 7.1 years; 21 men, 9 women, the mean period from the date of CABG was 2.4 ± 0.6 months). Control group included 30 healthy volunteers (mean age 63.1 ± 6.9 years; 4 men, 26 women). Autonomic reactivity was evaluated by means of the spectral analysis of heart rate variability (SAHRV) in short-term records. Statistically significant differences in values of the parameters in frequency domain (reduction of Power LF, Power HF, Rel. HF, Total power and increase Ratio LF/HF), reduction of time domain parameter MSSD and and complex indices (Total score, Vagotonia, Sympathovagal balance) in repeated supine body position (supine 2) in the orthoclinostatic test in a group of patients in a comparison with the control group were registered. The findings suggest a tendency towards change in a sympathovagal balance, as compared with the control group, to a higher activity of sympathetic.
