- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to analyze the chemical composition and antimicrobial properties of an essential oil from the plant Epilobium angustifolium, a great willow-herb in Austria. Information regarding the plant's therapeutic use for prostate cancer, kidney failure, and urinary tract infection, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) as study method, and the testing of strains including Micrococcus luteus, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus, are discussed.
