• This study examines the impact of national environment on managerial value systems by comparing representative samples of Chinese managers in the United States, Singapore and the People's Republic of China. • Two measures of managerial values are used. The dimensions of Western measures are Machiavellianism, Dogmatism, Locus of Control and Intolerance of Ambiguity. The Eastern measures comprise Integration, Confucian Dynamism, Human-heartedness and Moral Discipline.
