- Title
The Interclausal Relations Hierarchy vis-a-vis the data of eight Sardinian complex predicates.
- Authors
CASTI, FRANCESCO
- Abstract
The article discusses the interclausal relations hierarchy in relation to the data of eight Sardinian complex predicates. It notes that the whole construction selects the auxiliary which would select as a simple predicate. It adds that nuorese is an unaccusative verb with purposive value when it is found in compound tenses and involves movement. It adds that fronting, negation and modal operators suggest that the two predicates of the former construction are set in two separate cores.
