Mehtar, Maryam
- Abstract
The author reviews the paediatric schools-based clinics (PSBCs) established in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2007 and comments that viewing paediatric health consistently through the lens of the social determinants of health has been essential in delivering care. She enumerates 4 objectives in PSBC implementation, including to provide access to specialized paediatric care within schools. She also informs that PSBCs were established in response to the Health Disparity by Neighbourhood Income Study.
