- Abstract
The article reflects on the issue of social conformity and dissent among English Baptist women under persecution during 1660-1688. Despite much opposition, the Baptist denomination in England experienced tremendous growth during the seventeenth century. Persecution of Baptists reached its peak between 1660-1680.
