- Abstract
Human rights have evolved and expanded their scope from an individualistic vision to a collectivist perspective. Their recognition has been promoted by international organizations such as the United Nations and modern States. In contemporary constitutionalism, there has been a significant transformation in the conception of human rights, with the incorporation of catalogs of rights in constitutions and laws. In the specific case of Ecuador, since the entry into force of the Constitution in 2008, a constitutional State of rights was established that recognizes and protects both individual and collective rights. It is essential to deepen the concepts and visions of human rights to ensure their proper interpretation in different contexts.
