The article present a transcript of a panel discussion entitled "Colonization, Culture & Resistance" held during the "Converge! Reimagining the Movement to End Gender Violence," symposium hosted by the University of Miami, Florida in February 2014. Topics discussed include history of colonization in Hawaii, various aspects of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and the US Supreme Court's decision in the case Oliphant v. Suquamish Indian Tribe.
