- Abstract
This document summarizes a case report of a patient with anti-NMDAR type autoimmune encephalitis (AE), a rare condition caused by autoimmune disease. The patient initially presented with abnormal behaviors and drowsiness, and was later diagnosed with anti-NMDAR type AE after testing revealed the presence of anti-NMDAR antibodies. The patient received treatment and eventually recovered consciousness, but muscle weakness persisted. The document also provides information on the diagnosis and treatment of anti-NMDAR type AE, including the use of immunotherapy and management of associated symptoms. The prognosis for patients with this condition is generally favorable.
