- Abstract
The article discusses the function of Response to Intervention (RtI) method as a service delivery system to detect problems and reduce its negative consequences in the U.S. It examines a secondary purpose to link Tier 1 and Tier 2 of support to RtI for specific learning disabilities (SLD) and offers a framework for examining the effectiveness of Tiers 1 and 2 using major data sources. It defines ways to achieve better integration of instructional support of different tiers and highlights the necessity of examining the instruction and tiers of instruction delivery in the classroom.
