- Authors
Kuehn, Bridget M.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a new guideline on the treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections issued by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). The guideline provides physicians with detailed suggestions on treating various types of MRSA infections, as well as information on dosing of antibiotics when necessary. According to Catherine Liu, chairman of the panel who created the guideline, the guideline was developed due to the growing clinical impact of MRSA particularly community-acquired infections.
