- Abstract
The article discusses a study which analyzed the contributions of diurnal animals to fecundity in a large population of Guthriea capensis below Sentinel Peak at the boundary of the Maloti-Drakensberg World Heritage Site in South Africa. Using motion-activated cameras, the researchers found that lizards visited the flowers of eight focal plants, including the African hidden flower. The plant appears to have an almost exclusive ecological dependence on lizards for pollination.
