- Authors
McKerracher, Sue
- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the Australian School Library Association (ASLA) XXII Biennial Conference themed Hogwarts-fest, which focuses on 2012 as the National Year of Reading. The author acknowledges ASLA for giving school librarians an opportunity to campaign about the importance of school libraries through the National Year of Reading. She cites an overview of the National Year of Reading, which was pioneered by libraries and now involves publishers, booksellers, and other partners. She also suggests that ASLA adopt a standard bookplate for primary school teacher librarians that would promote proper care and handling of books.
