The article presents a case study of a seven-year-old boy who was referred to hospital with a long history of lump on his anterior chest wall to the right of the upper sternum. Topics discussed include abnormalities of congenital rib, association of bifid ribs with Gorlin-Goltz syndrome and benign lesions of soft tissue origin which include hemangioma, lymphangioma and fibromatosis.
