- Authors
Castor, Theresa R.
- Abstract
They also illustrate varied connections between the material and dialogue, whether it is in the form of dialogue I about i material entities I or i the use of material objects in the shaping of dialogic interactions. The aforementioned senses of matter in relation to dialogue are not mutually exclusive in that the works within this collection also illustrate how the material is interconnected with dialogue. In July, 2019, members of the International Association for Dialogue Analysis gathered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) for the annual IADA conference which, during that year, addressed the theme of "Dialogic Matters." Natalie Dollar's article on "Engaging contested community issues: community dialogue in one USAmerican community" has some overlap with Létourneau's in that both examine community group discussions on challenging topics.
