- Abstract
Introduction: Angiosarcoma is a tumor of vascular origin with rapid and aggressive course. The clinical polymorphism of the tumor can cause a delay in diagnosis. Prognostic factors are advanced age and location (30% survival at 5 years). Observation: The patient consulted for a smooth purplish nodule of 2 cm in diameter at the junction hard palate / soft palate. Palpation of the facial cervical lymph nodes were free. The initial clinical diagnosis was a mucoid cyst. The presumptive diagnosis was denied due to the occurrence of cervical lymphadenopathy. Discussion: Clinical diagnosis of angiosarcoma is hard, due to similarity with begnin tumours.
