- Abstract
The interdisciplinary approach allows the exchange between different areas of knowledge. In their presupositions are: interdependence between the content, appreciation of the holistic approach, interaction, dialogue and reciprocity. The geoprocessing fits the assumptions of interdisciplinarity therefore covers: Informatics, Cartography, Mathematics, English (most apps are in this language), Logic and other content. The aim of this paper is to present results of an educational project that used GIS and computer technology to produce spatial analysis. This is the Diamantina-SIG project, carried out in E. E. Professor Leopoldo Miranda, Diamantina/MG (Brazil). Through this project were made thematic maps of the middle region of the Jequitinhonha Valley. Finally this project was compared with other related activities, which highlighted its effectiveness.
