- Abstract
The article focuses on the emergence of the Internet, mobile television and cell phones technologies, and their influence on the development of a group of communications consumers. It cites several reasons for which consumers want mobile television including it allows views to be a part of a community, addresses the needs of consumers for location-sensitive information, and it can be used to increase mobile intimacy of the consumers. It outlines several aspects of Individual Television Experience envisioned by Ericsson AB, which include content digitalization, technology breakthrough, and new user behavior. Also mentioned is the need of the film industry to make preparations for the shifting economic and business paradigms.
