- Abstract
Sugar and amino acid composition of floral nectar change due to the metabolic activities of yeasts, which may negatively impact the nutritional value of nectar for pollinators. We investigated whether the presence of five yeast species affected bumble bee foraging behavior, individual health, and colony fitness.
