- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 5-year-old intact female Entlebucher Sennenhund dog suffering from partial anorexia and weakness. The dog was also treated with levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. Cytogram and histrogram results supported a diagnosis of immune mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA). It revealed that discrepancies in platelet counts were due to ghost red blood cells, which was determined using a Sysmex XT-2000iV hematology analyzer.
