- Authors

- Abstract
Examines the possibility that vocal frequency and vocal intensity influence the perception of speech rate. Indication that vocal frequency and intensity both separately and jointly influenced the perception of speech rate; Evidence that rate, pitch and loudness in natural speech tend to be directly related to each other; Suggestion that slow speech is likely to be uttered more softly and at a lower pitch than rapid speech.
