- Abstract
The article examines the silk designs on the Golden Horde sites located in the Northern Caucasus in Russia and in Dzhukhta, Novopavlovsky, and Verbovy Log. It describes the designs on the silk objects, which resemble things and animals such as dragon, vase, goose and phoenix and parrot. The silk designs are associated with the Mongolian Empire. Accordingly, the silks found in three Golden Horde area have Chinese, Iranian and Central Asian artistic influence which portrays the nature of the silk industry during the Mongolian Empire.
