- Title
SOCIAL SCIENCE DATA ARCHIVES.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the Australian National University's Social Science Data Archives (SSDA), which was established in 1981 to acquire, maintain and disseminate computer-readable social science data for the purposes of secondary analysis. The Archives seeks to establish collections of similar data that can be linked such as census data, opinion poll data, and the Australian Gallup Polls. Furthermore, the SSDA's goal is to preserve data before it becomes irretrievably lost.
