- Abstract
The article discusses the object of diversity in relation to the work of the late African American law professor and scholar Derrick A. Bell Jr., and it mentions the author's experiences in co-teaching the course "Race, Religion, and Law" with Bell at the University of Pittsburgh Law School. Bell's views about a racist Christian faith are mentioned, along with writer Nancy Leong's 2013 article "Racial Capitalism" in the "Harvard Law Review." Civil rights in the U.S. are also examined.
