- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the case law of family violence under Australia's Family Law Act of 1975. It mentions that domestic and family violence began receiving public attention in the 1970s and the law responded by intervening in family relationships and providing protection for victims, particularly abused women and children. Also stressed is the prevalence of family violence in the country and the fact that people are most at risk of abuse and neglect in their own homes.
