The article discusses the 1957 U.S. Supreme Court (USSC) case Lambert v. California which deals with a mens rea (criminal intent) requirement under American criminal law, focusing on the USSC's appointment of an amicus to reargue the case, crimes of omission, and constitutional law in the U.S. Legal vagueness principles and mistakes of fact are mentioned, along with legal ethics. A strict liability legal standard in America and attorney Samuel C. McMorris are also examined.
