- Abstract
The article describes a bicolored beryl from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. The site is famous for producing aquamarine, black tourmaline, jeremejevite and other minerals. Microscopic observation showed several fractures and two-phase inclusions in the blue part of the stone. The green part of the stone was more heavily included and revealed parallel growth structures, opaque inclusions and densely spaced clusters of growth tubes. Aside from light greenish blue and yellowish green colors, the bicolored beryl may also possess bluish green and brownish orange parts.
