- Title
The importance of maintaining endoscopy as a placement for student nurses.
- Authors

- Abstract
The wide range of feedback received by undergrad student nurse placements working in endoscopy is often inconsistent. This has been considered in relation to national policy and future workforce planning. Reviewing the content, mechanism and exposure for education specifically focused upon signs, symptoms, diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal disorders in undergraduate nursing education may improve patient care and service provision. Recruitment and retention to any clinical area is challenging currently, therefore understanding the impact of student learning opportunities and the importance of a positive student experience within endoscopy to help recruit a future workforce that includes advanced practice clinicians is essential.
