- Title
JAG accreditation of endoscopy services: What do units need to do?
- Authors
Johnston, Debbie
- Abstract
By choosing to participate in the accreditation process of the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG), an endoscopy service in the UK asks to be measured against national standards for endoscopy services. These standards reflect what health professionals agree is most conducive to providing quality patient-centred care in organized endoscopy settings. Debbie Johnston outlines the JAG process, describing what endoscopy units need to do to prepare for and achieve accreditation.
