- Abstract
The article discusses the approaches in the treatment of saphenous vein affectation. The use of long incision for the in-situ saphenous vein bypass has been found out to have led to infection and major complications, and most of all, the loss of bypass itself. Angioscope-assisted valvulotomies and percutaneous suture ligation have been found out to lead to the use of percutaneous ligature as the new treatment for superficial varicosities and chronic venous insufficiencies.
