- Title
DYNAMICS OF MULTI-SPECIES FEEDING ASSOCIATIONS IN MARINE WATERS NEAR JUNEAU, ALASKA.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the dynamics of multi-species feeding associations (MSFA) in marine waters close to Juneau in southeast Alaska. The researchers conducted the study along Stephens Passage from Gastineau Channel south to Port Snettisham. They also used Kruskal-Wallis tests and post hoc multiple comparison tests of the average ranks for each pair of groups to test for differences in daily mean flock size and mean number of species per flock. They found that MSFA participation offers many potential benefits including information transfer opportunities for inexperienced foragers.
