- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 15-year-old male with complaints of mood swings, difficulty focusing on his studies, and insomnia. On examination, it was discovered that the patient has an enlarged thyroid gland and was diagnosed with Graves disease, a type of hyperthyroidism. The patient was referred to a pediatric endocrinologist and was given atenolol and methimazole which resulted to a decreased blood pressure and improvement in anxiety and insomnia.
