A literary criticism is presented on the article "Icarian Flights in Almost All Directions," by John-Paul Himka. The article's portrayal of Galician Ruthenian identity (the identity of Ruthenians in Galicia region of Poland and Ukraine) during the 19th century is disucssed. Himka's depiction of Galician Ruthenians' nationalism is also discussed.
