- Abstract
The article presents news items on environmental issues. Australian scientists in 2003 have announced a collaborative effort which has been created to develop new bioremediation technologies and involves four universities and several industrial partners. Jeffrey Dukes, an assistant professor of ecology at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, Massachusetts has determined that each time a car uses one gallon of gasoline, 89 metric tons of ancient plant matter are consumed.
