- Authors
Nimni, Ephraim
- Abstract
The article focuses on the contradictory positions of German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels on the national question, which refers to nationalism. Among the conceptions considered central to historical materialism include the theory of evolution, which holds that social transformation can be grasped in universal laws of historical development. An evaluation of the considerations crucial in the formulation of an understanding of the national question by Marx and Engels is provided.
