The article investigates various issues concerning the Sovietization of Cuba after 1970. Section I examines the social character and consequences of Cuba's economic relationship with Soviet bloc. Section II explains the notion that Sovietization characterizes the domestic source in Cuba. Section III analyzes if Cuba serves as an international proxy for Soviet.
