The article describes differences between the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) from the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and the older Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and mentions issues that apply to hazardous substance disposal for high school science teachers. First-Aid standards, fire extinction methods, and chemical storage standards are discussed, as well as toxicological and ecological information.
