- Abstract
The article discusses the 1962 data on the price of industrial life insurance from the viewpoint of the policyholder who is eligible for either industrial or standard ordinary life insurance in the U.S. In order to obtain the data for the study the authors made use of three life insurance publications. The data for the study pertains to the policies issued in 1962 to standard males aged 35, with participating and nonparticipating policies and with straight life and 20-payment life policies. The authors have emphasized that the word price used in the study refers to the price of life insurance protection to the policyholder. The result of the study recognizes the various elements of noncomparability between industrial and ordinary policies.
