- Title
Uveodermatologic Syndrome in a Rat Terrier.
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a four-year-old male rat terrier diagnosed with uveodermatologic syndrome. Symptoms include severe bilateral nonresponsive panuveitis, blepharospasm and conjunctival hyperemia. Oral azathiopine was initiated to maintain control of the dermatologic lesions but was not well tolerated by the animal. To control the depigmentation and crusting skin lesions, immunosuppresive doses of cyclosporine and anti-inflammmatory doses of oral prednisone were administered.
