- Abstract
Treatment of triorganogallium etherates with tripodal Schiff bases in benzene gave complexes of composition [N{R2GaO(C6H3X)CH=N-CH2-CH2-}3] (R = Me, Et; X = H, OMe) in nearly quantitative yield. The molecular structure of [N{Me2GaO(C6H4)CH=N-CH2-CH2-}3] revealed that there are two different types of molecules in the crystal lattice each containing three distorted tetrahedral gallium atoms.
